You might remember early last week, in between drunk whores and abusive evictees, my iPhone battery was in need of replacing.  I went on Amazon.com and ordered a replacement battery with all the necessary tools to complete the repair, paid for said kit, and awaited it’s arrival this past Friday.  During the week I received no updates nor shipping information and on Friday I got an email stating said battery was delayed and would not ship until the next Friday.

keys technologySeeing as how the battery in my iPhone had swelled to the point where it was pushing the screen almost completely off, I decided I couldn’t wait any longer.  So I cancelled the order and took said phone over to these folks, Keys Technology. Not only did they have a replacement battery in stock, the nice lady at the counter replaced the battery, and fixed the screen, all in less than 1/2 an hour and for about $70.  $50 more than the Amazon option, but they got it done.  I have a shiny new battery, the screen is fixed, and the iPhone works like new.

So, it only makes sense I throw out a plug to Keys Technology and give a big thanks for fixin’ my iPhone.  From what I gather, they do all kinds of repairs to phones and computers, be it Apple or other brands, and appear to know what they are doing.  It was a nice change of pace from dealing with the official aftermarket Apple repair shop in town who since being taken over by a corporate warlord from up north, seems more interested in just selling stuff, and is a bit stuffy to work with.

Keys Technology is located on the north end of Kennedy Blvd. in a small plaza.  Easy to get to and nice folks to deal with.  If you are down here and having an issue with your phone, give them a shot.

  1. Thanks for the report on one of the good guys. I always approve of passing on that information. You never know when you might be the one in need of it.

  2. in this throw away society… how lovely that nice quality people with talent still can FIX something of value.
and with a personal response. and in a fast and timely manner.
    practically unheard of these days.
i’d say about 50.00 extra well worth the price.
    happy to hear it.

    • This is why I would rather deal with a small, locally owned business instead of some soulless corporate entity.
